The notice must include the statutory reason for the suspension, the source of the UHFRUG VXSSRUWLQJ WKDW VXVSHQVLRQ WKH OHQJWK RI WKH VXVSHQVLRQ DQG ZKRP WR FRQWDFW IRU UHLQVWDWLQJ WKH OLFHQVH RQ H[SLUDWLRQ of the suspension, correcting errors in the record, or appealing the suspension. If a county clerk suspended a license under this subsection and the individual is acquitted of the charge or the charge is dismissed, the individual shall notify the county clerk ZKR VKDOO DXWRPDWLFDOO\ UHLQVWDWH WKH OLFHQVH LI WKH OLFHQVH LV QRW H[SLUHG DQG WKH LQGLYLGXDO LV RWKHUZLVH TXDOL¿HG WR UHFHLYH D OLFHQVH WR FDUU\ D FRQFHDOHG SLVWRO DV YHUL¿HG E\ WKH GHSDUWPHQW RI VWDWH SROLFH $ FRXQW\ FOHUN VKDOO QRW FKDUJH D IHH IRU WKH reinstatement of a license under this subsection. (3) The department of state police shall notify the county clerk in the county in which a license was issued to an individual WR FDUU\ D FRQFHDOHG SLVWRO LI WKH GHSDUWPHQW RI VWDWH SROLFH GHWHUPLQHV WKDW WKHUH KDV EHHQ D FKDQJH LQ WKH LQGLYLGXDO¶V HOLJLELOLW\ under this act to receive a license to carry a concealed pistol. The county clerk shall suspend, revoke, or reinstate the license as required under this act and immediately send notice of the suspension, revocation, or reinstatement under this subsection by ¿UVW FODVV PDLO LQ D VHDOHG HQYHORSH WR WKH LQGLYLGXDO¶V ODVW NQRZQ DGGUHVV DV LQGLFDWHG RQ WKH UHFRUGV RI WKH FRXQW\ FOHUN 7KH notice must include the statutory reason for the suspension, revocation, or reinstatement, the source of the record supporting the suspension, revocation, or reinstatement, the length of the suspension or revocation, and whom to contact for correcting HUURUV LQ WKH UHFRUG DSSHDOLQJ WKH VXVSHQVLRQ RU UHYRFDWLRQ DQG UHDSSO\LQJ IRU WKDW LQGLYLGXDO¶V OLFHQVH 7KH GHSDUWPHQW RI VWDWH police shall immediately enter that suspension, revocation, or reinstatement into the law enforcement information network. (4) If a suspension is imposed under this section, the suspension must be for a period stated in years, months, or days, or XQWLO WKH ¿QDO GLVSRVLWLRQ RI WKH FKDUJH DQG VWDWH WKH GDWH WKH VXVSHQVLRQ ZLOO HQG LI DSSOLFDEOH 7KH OLFHQVHH VKDOO SURPSWO\ VXUUHQGHU KLV RU KHU OLFHQVH WR WKH FRXQW\ FOHUN DIWHU EHLQJ QRWL¿HG WKDW KLV RU KHU OLFHQVH KDV EHHQ UHYRNHG RU VXVSHQGHG $Q LQGLYLGXDO ZKR IDLOV WR VXUUHQGHU D OLFHQVH DV UHTXLUHG XQGHU WKLV VXEVHFWLRQ DIWHU KH RU VKH ZDV QRWL¿HG WKDW KLV RU KHU OLFHQVH ZDV VXVSHQGHG RU UHYRNHG LV JXLOW\ RI D PLVGHPHDQRU SXQLVKDEOH E\ LPSULVRQPHQW IRU QRW PRUH WKDQ GD\V RU D ¿QH RI QRW PRUH WKDQ RU ERWK ([FHSW DV RWKHUZLVH SURYLGHG LQ VXEVHFWLRQV DQG LI D OLFHQVH LV VXVSHQGHG XQGHU WKLV VHFWLRQ DQG WKDW OLFHQVH ZDV VXUUHQGHUHG E\ WKH OLFHQVHH XSRQ H[SLUDWLRQ RI WKH VXVSHQVLRQ SHULRG WKH DSSOLFDQW PD\ DSSO\ IRU D UHQHZDO OLFHQVH LQ WKH VDPH manner as provided under section 5 l . The county clerk or department of state police, as applicable, shall issue the applicant a receipt for his or her application at the time the application is submitted. The receipt must contain all of the following: (a) The name of the applicant. (b) The date and time the receipt is issued. (c) The amount paid. G 7KH DSSOLFDQW¶V VWDWH LVVXHG GULYHU OLFHQVH RU SHUVRQDO LGHQWL¿FDWLRQ FDUG QXPEHU (e) The statement, “This receipt was issued for the purpose of applying for a renewal of a concealed pistol license following D SHULRG RI VXVSHQVLRQ RU UHYRFDWLRQ 7KLV UHFHLSW GRHV QRW DXWKRUL]H DQ LQGLYLGXDO WR FDUU\ D FRQFHDOHG SLVWRO LQ WKLV VWDWH ´ (f) The name of the county in which the receipt is issued, if applicable. (g) An impression of the county seal, if applicable. ,I D OLFHQVH LV VXVSHQGHG EHFDXVH RI DQ RUGHU XQGHU VHFWLRQ E G iii ) and that license was surrendered by the licensee, XSRQ H[SLUDWLRQ RI WKH RUGHU DQG QRWL¿FDWLRQ WR WKH FRXQW\ FOHUN WKH FRXQW\ FOHUN VKDOO DXWRPDWLFDOO\ UHLQVWDWH WKH OLFHQVH LI WKH OLFHQVH LV QRW H[SLUHG DQG WKH GHSDUWPHQW RI VWDWH SROLFH KDV FRPSOHWHG WKH YHUL¿FDWLRQ UHTXLUHG XQGHU VHFWLRQ E 7KH FRXQW\ clerk shall not charge a fee for the reinstatement of a license under this subsection. ,I WKH FRXUW RUGHUV D FRXQW\ FOHUN WR VXVSHQG UHYRNH RU UHLQVWDWH D OLFHQVH XQGHU WKLV VHFWLRQ RU DPHQGV D VXVSHQVLRQ revocation, or reinstatement order, the county clerk shall immediately notify the department of state police in a manner prescribed by the department of state police. The department of state police shall enter the order or amended order into the law enforcement information network. (8) A suspension or revocation order or amended order issued under this section is immediately effective. However, an individual is not criminally liable for violating the order or amended order unless he or she has received notice of the order or amended order. ,I DQ LQGLYLGXDO LV FDUU\LQJ D SLVWRO LQ YLRODWLRQ RI D VXVSHQVLRQ RU UHYRFDWLRQ RUGHU RU DPHQGHG RUGHU LVVXHG XQGHU WKLV section but has not previously received notice of the order or amended order, the individual must be informed of the order or amended order and be given an opportunity to properly store the pistol or otherwise comply with the order or amended order before an arrest is made for carrying the pistol in violation of this act. ,I D ODZ HQIRUFHPHQW DJHQF\ RU RI¿FHU QRWL¿HV DQ LQGLYLGXDO RI D VXVSHQVLRQ RU UHYRFDWLRQ RUGHU RU DPHQGHG RUGHU issued under this section who has not previously received notice of the order or amended order, the law enforcement agency or RI¿FHU VKDOO HQWHU D VWDWHPHQW LQWR WKH ODZ HQIRUFHPHQW LQIRUPDWLRQ QHWZRUN WKDW WKH LQGLYLGXDO KDV UHFHLYHG QRWLFH RI WKH RUGHU or amended order under this section.
