Creating seven modules allows the user to focus on a specific topic. Each module contains a written test to evaluate the user knowledge of the content. The logic of testing is simple but very important. The written test s are a valuable tool that allows the applicant to measure their knowledge of a specific module of training. Our convenient personal training format allows you to proceed at your own pace. You are n ot committed to a time limited class where all proceed at the same pace. Training that is based on individual attention to each person’s needs where one instructor guides the student though the entire process assuring continuity of training. Training is done in “best use order of training” that allows the CPL applicant to gain the maximum benefit of each module. Each person or (group that register s together) is considered a separate training class and can stay together throughout the training process. there are n o other peopl e in your class. You start on your time and finish on your time. In Short, it’s all about YOU!

The training process: This is a 2 day instructor / student process. ( D oes not include self study part one ) . 24/7 registration - Your training starts when you register and download the Online CPL training manual. Download t h e Study C PL Class manual . This is an important part that helps the student prepare parts 2 and 3. of the training process. Part one has no time limit - Study at your own pace. • Instructor Fees • 155- page CPL study manual • 40 - page shooting skills manual designed for new shooter CPL applicant • Guide to Handgun Cleaning • In person classroom and range preparation • One hour range time 30.00 Does not include ammunition or range time beyond one hour

Optional r ange equipment included in fee:

• Eye and ear protection • The use of our handgun s • .22 Ruger semi auto • Glock 19 9mm semi auto

R ange time is usually 2 hours This can very based on applicant shooting Skills.

The classroom range preparation session is deigned to minimize range cost and help produce a confident and safe shooter. Ammunition - costs will very based on caliber and quantity.

• The student will fire approximately 50 -100 rounds of ammunition • The cost is based on the caliber of handgun to be used and if the ammunition is supplied by the student or purchased at the gun range. • Ammo fees can range from $9.00 for .22 to $ 24.00 for 9mm and 38 spc. for a 50 round box

CPL Range Shoo ng Skills The CPL applicant needs to consider the following when shoo ng a CPL course of fire. The applicant is required to complete a CPL course of fire. Live fire range skills usually contain 2 parts: 1) S hoong skill pracce and demonstraon of CPL skill s 2) CPL qualificaon course of fire How much me is dedicated to each part will depend on the applicants prior training. The Classroom Range Prepara on Module will help provide the applicant with the necessary skills to meet CPL qualifica on requirements. The state of Michigan does not require the shooter to qualify with a specific caliber handgun. Michigan law allows the student to demonstrate CPL qualifica on shoo ng skills with any type of handgun. We encourage applicants to use their own handgun when possible. Shoo ng ranges usually limit range me to 2-3 hours per student. The main goal o f the CPL range me is to shoot a CPL qualifica on course of fire if that cannot be done in the limited me block a new block is schedule which may require an addi on trip to the range. New shooters or those with limited experience will find our .22 semi auto is the least expensive and easiest to shoot the qualifica on course of fire. New shooters with a new handgun may require addi onal me to become competent in the use of their handgun. This can be done at a separate me if necessary. For new and inexperienced shooters live fire is divided into two blocks of training will provide the best approach to qualifica on.

Shooting Positions

Shooters body 45 degrees to target

Strong arm pushed out straight

Weak arm bent at elbow and pulled straight back to avoid pulling handgun off alignment

Trigger finger placement Selecting the Handgun to fit your hand will have a direct impact on how well you will shoot the gun. Just like shoes you buy a pair to fit your feet for the way you will use the shoe.

Place the handgun in your strong hand and align it as a natural extension of your arm.

The trigger finger should be able to be placed on the trigger midway between the end of the finger and the first joint. The goal is to pull the trigger straight back into your grip hand. See Fig A below

Figure B usually results when the handgun trigger distance is too short, and the shooter will place the trigger finger too far across the trigger creating a pull off center to the right to the right.

&ŝŐƵƌĞ Đ an result when the trigger distance is to long and the trigger can only be reachedby the tipofthe finger causing the handgun to be pulled to the left.
